How to organize family recipes
A folder of screenshots and a book of cards is not a system. The fix is not more organization, it is a small amount of structure you will actually maintain.
Start with categories that match your week
RecipeGrabber AI files every recipe under a meal category such as Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Desserts or Snacks, plus practical ones like Air Fryer, Crockpot, Family Favorites and To Try. Use the practical categories, not the clever ones: you search by what you are doing tonight, not by cuisine.
Keep a To Try pile and empty it
Anything imported but not yet cooked belongs in To Try. Every time you cook something, add it to your cook history and rate it. After a month the To Try pile is honest: the recipes you keep meaning to make are the ones to delete.
Favourite the ten you actually cook
Favourites are a short list, not a compliment. If everything is a favourite the filter stops helping. Keep it to the recipes you would cook on a tired Tuesday.
Use collections for occasions
Collections group recipes into a themed cookbook: holiday baking, a birthday menu, the meals one child will eat. With the optional Pro Kitchen Pack you can also export a collection as a printable cookbook PDF, which is how a family recipe collection survives a phone upgrade.
Note who eats what
Family profiles hold allergies, disliked foods and favourite meals for each person, so you are not rediscovering a nut allergy every time you plan a week. Diet settings hold the filters you want applied to suggestions.
